Opportunity for a PhD Student: Dr. Sunita Vohra, Director of the CARE Program (www.care.ualberta.ca) is interested in recruiting a PhD student for a CIHR-funded project to promote patient safety. The student will be working with local and national leaders to develop a novel reporting and learning system for office-based health care providers to promote patient safety. While the specific project focuses on assessing the safety of spinal manipulation therapy, in collaboration with Alberta-based chiropractors, physicians, physical therapists, and osteopaths, the team's goal is to develop, pilot, and refine a model that can applied to any practice-based setting to identify, report, and analyze harms.
