Complementary and Alternative Medicine Master's Program: Georgetown University (USA). The first program of its kind, the Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Masters Program places Georgetown University at the forefront of graduate education in this field. The program was introduced in the fall of 2009 as the first CAM-oriented, science-based MSc program at the US medical Center. The program intends to serve both the great public interest in complementary and alternative medicine and the need for greater scientific research into these areas.
Master of Applied Natural Products (MANP): Massachussetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). This part-time program was designed for individuals interested in developing expertise in the natural products discipline and can be completed in as little as five semesters. Instruction is offered in the areas of herbal and dietary supplements, natural pruduct informatics, functional medicine, pharmacognosy and phytopharmacology and epidemiology. Interested candidates must have a prior health baccalaureate professional degree.
Masters and PhD Programs (research) in Chinese Medicine, Chiropractic or Osteopathy: RMIT University, Melbourne (Australia). Master of Applied Science by Research in: Chinese Medicine, Chiropractic Science or Osteopathic Science and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chiropractic, Osteopathy and Chinese Medicine. Research may also be conducted as a minor thesis within Master by coursework, degree programs. Research projects in basic and biomedical science, clinical science including clinical trials, professional standards, professional education and psychosocial aspects of complementary medicine can be supported.
Graduate Minor Program in Complementary Therapies and Health Practices: University of Minnesota, Center for Spirituality and health. The Graduate Minor program is for health professional students and practitioners as well as lifelong learners seeking to deepen their understanding of CAM topics. In addition to complementary therapies and healing practices, coursework includes spirituality, cross-cultural international health, research and evaluation methodologies and independent studies.
